There are a lot of scripting languages available (even some written in delphi). Recently i rediscovered lua. It is easy writing scripts inside it and it allows to be extended with functions, variables and even classes from delphi.
Unfortunately the delphi port: http://assoc.wanadoo.fr/thallium-software/thlua.en.html does not seem to be maintained anymore. That way the dynamic unit is not up to date anymore.
